Dag 6: Uber Games VR Presentation

Today we got a presentation, from a guy working at Uber Entertainment. The presentation was about the new technology " Virtual Reality ". He talked about how general game's design, doesn't work with VR. Since the perspective can give motion sickness if done incorrectly. He also showcased their latest game they are working on, which uses VR technology.

The other half of the day we started working on the attribute menu. The basics are down, the movement in the menu is however still being worked on. Denni started working on the different projectiles the weapons will have. We will soon have a working prototype, but its easier if we implement a few other things before we make a working prototype.

Day 5: Getting the controller assignment to work

Today we started off by getting a presentation by our teacher Chris. The presentation was about design in general. The different design there has been in the earlier years, and how we can copy that to video games.

The second half of the day Eske got the controller assignment to work. We do only have 2 controllers to test with as of yet, so it might not work with 4 controllers, but it did work with 2. Denni made textures for the Tank. Daniel worked further on the Movement and mechanics of the tank. Thor worked further on the ground textures and the arena design.

Day 4: Getting the controls for the tank done.

Today we started off by being seperated into 2 groups. The first group contained the programmers, the second group contained graphic artists and game designers. The programmers got help with their coding, while the artist group learned how to draw Spongebob Squarepants.

The second half of the day we worked further on having a finished prototype. The 3D tank is nearly done. The controls of the tank is done, but still needs a few tweaks to make it perfect. Meanwhile Thor began drawing the textures for the arena floor, and tire tracks.

Day 3: Started on prototype

Today we started off by getting switched around in different rooms, since the planning went wrong. Once we actually got the right room, the teachers held a presentation. They were presenting their 2D level they had made in Unity. Most of the information the presentation gave, we already knew.

In the second half we started working on the prototype of our game. Denni worked on producing a 3D monster tank. Daniel and Eske were working on the tank's controls. Thor worked on finishing up Trello and general design features.

Day 1: Pitch Preparation

The first day we started out by getting introduced to our teachers for this trip. After introductions we had a Q&A where we could ask any questions we wanted, to our teachers. They also talked a bit about pitching, and general game design.

The second half of the day, we began preparing our game pitch. We are also discussing game mechanics at the same time, so that we can get a proper pitch. Tomorrow we will be pitching in front of out teachers.
